We had our first MOOSE on August 12th, 2007. The theme was "it is hard to care about someone you don't know very well". We sat down in small groups for our meal and had ten questions available to dive deeper into getting to know one another. The St. John Thespian's (Christopher, Scott, and Jon) performed a skit describing the do's and don'ts of LighTninG groups.

Why have we split the family up for 'Christian Education"?

Why aren't older believers influencing younger believers?

Why have we been afraid to have young children in a worship service?

Isn't the way of Christ better caught than taught?

Why do we have such a love affair with knowledge? (modern gnosticism) Why don't we trust God to speak to us through scripture?

Come explore with us the path laid out in scripture to educate all ages - parents reading scripture in the home, older believers influencing younger believers, younger believers inspiring older believers, discipleship -vs- consumerism, etc.

We don't have it all figured out and are probably wrong on some areas, but we know a lot of what we have done and experienced in the past isn't scriptural or working. And just like we have actual moose sightings all around the Wasatch mountains, we hope to have another kind of M.O.O.S.E. sightings in the near future...
