Concert Series

This year at St John’s, we are delighted to offer a varied musical series, with either a concert or a service of Choral Evensong planned for the final Friday of each month. All proceeds from our concert ticket sales go directly to support the work of our non-profit, St John’s Community services, which you can find out more about here

2024 Dates

23 February, 7pm – Organ Recital

St John’ Music Minister Samuel Giddy performs on the recently-repaired 1885 Hill organ. Tickets available here.

29 March, 3pm – Stainer’s “Crucifixion”

St John’s choir performs “The Crucifixion” by John Stainer, directed by music minister Sam Giddy with guest soloists Angela Brun, Oscar Balle-Bowness and Jack Stephens. Tickets available here.

26 April, 7pm – Piano Recital: Leo Bae

Solo recital by Canadian jazz pianist Leo Bae. Tickets available here.

31 May, 7pm – Organ & Kamancheh: A Cross-Cultural Collaboration 

A concert by Samuel Giddy (organ) and Kaykhosro Mokhtari (kamancheh), including works by Vivaldi and Melande. 
28 June, 7pm – Choral Evensong with St John’s Choir
